At the age of 24, David Goggins was making $1000 per month spraying for rodents, paying $810 in rent, weighing more than 297 pounds, having just completed high school, divorced, and living with his mother as his only companion.

At the supposedly toughest race in the world, Badwater, David is pictured with a third-place finisher. a summertime 135-mile marathon across Death Valley.
He has raised more than $2 million by jogging for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

He ran 101 miles in under 19 hours with just three days to spare and two months to meet the requirements for Badwater. weighing more than 230 pounds, without any training or prior expertise, and after a full-body workout (squats, deadlifts, power cleans, and bench press) the day before.

On January 19, 2013, in Brentwood, Tennessee, Goggins broke the world record for the most pull-ups done in 24 hours. He completed 4,030 pull-ups in 17 hours, and set a new world record. Record that he failed at it twice. Reaching 67000 pull-ups in total of training.

His foundation for life was a congenital hole in his heart, bullying and death threats for being black, physical and mental abuse by his father, a depressed mother, a step dad murdered, poverty, learning disability, ADHD, PTSD, social anxiety and a stutter.
