Francis Yin Ghanaian Athlete

Francis Yin is an upcoming Ghanaian track and field athlete. He is specialising in middle-long distance events. Yin was born on 10^th April 1997 at Obuasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana but he grew in a village called Gorogo-Tongo in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region. He started his primary education at Gorogo Primary School in Tongo in 2006 – 2012 and later returned back to Obuasi to attend Rams Preparatory and Junior High School in 2012 – 2015. He proceeded to Navrongo Senior High school in Navrongo, 2015 – 2018. In 2018 he joined the University of Ghana and completed in 2020. Currently, a graduate holding an associate degree in public administration with a GPA of above 3.5. And also done with his national service.

GF Sports Cross Country 12km – 27^th place. International Barclay’s Bank 10km – 3^rd place at Accra, University of Ghana campus.

Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games 5000m -16:15 seconds for University of Ghana. National Cross-Country 12km – Greater Accra Team organised in Gomoa-Ajumako in the Central Region. 25.11 Secondi-Takoradi Marathon 21km – 1:16 minutes – 27^th place.

National Sports Authority (NSA) National Cross-Country Championship, Greater Accra team, Western North, Sefwi Wiaso 10km – 32:12 seconds. Adenta 15km Race – 54:00 seconds – 5th position.
