In the forthcoming transfer period, FC Sheriff Tiraspol, a premier league club in Moldova, has announced a significant addition to their squad. Ghana’s own Razak Abalora is set to join their ranks, amplifying the club’s defensive strength.
Following fruitful negotiations, Abalora has committed to a long-term contract with FC Sheriff Tiraspol. The agreement came to light after the Ghanaian goalkeeper successfully completed a medical examination, paving the way for the transfer.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper, born on September 4, 1996, in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, brings a wealth of experience from his career in Africa. He kick-started his professional journey at the East African Football Academy before moving on to FC Azam in Tanzania. His most recent engagement was with Asante Kotoko FC.
Abalora made his debut for the Ghana national team on October 12, 2020, in a friendly against Qatar, with a convincing 5:1 victory. Since then, he has donned the national team jersey four times.
The FC Sheriff squad is delighted to welcome Abalora and looks forward to seeing him in action. We extend our warmest wishes for his continued success as he steps onto the field wearing the FC Sheriff Tiraspol colors.
