Zonal II Games: Sherifa Moro Wins Women’s 5000m In Sunyani

Ashanti Regional athletes took first and second positions in the women’s 5000m race at Ghana Athletics Zonal II Circuit Championships. The event was held on Saturday, 5th March 2022 at the Sunyani Senior High School in the Bono Region.

Sherifa Moro placed first in 18:34.04 while her teammate Addo Naomi finished second in a closed photo finish time of 18:34.90 and Lord of Justice Athletics Club’s athlete Anchike Nvanee also placed third in 18:59.26. Interestingly all the top 3 finishers run under 19t minutes and all the five athletes also run under 20 minutes.
