William Amponsah Wins 2022 National Cross Country Championship

William Amponsah has won the 2022 National Sports Authority- NSA 2022 National Cross Country Championship at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

The fourth edition of the National Cross Country Championship was held on Saturday, 26th February 2022.

The University of Education’s student was a pre-race favourite and has never lost any local race almost 5 years in now. In 2021, he won the CAA Region II half marathon that was organised in Nigeria.

William Amponsah (Central Region) won in a course record time in 28:16:17 seconds while another sensational athlete Koogo Atia of North East Region) finished second in 29:25:61 seconds and Aziz Mohammed (Central Region) of the University of Ghana came third in 29:47:95 seconds.
