The Upper West Regional Sports Authority is pleased to present the Upper West Inter District Cross Country Championship 2022.

The Upper West Regional Sports Authority wishes to inform the general public of the upcoming edition of the National Cross Country 2022 and as part of preparations for the event, the region will host its annual inter district cross country which is scheduled to take on Sunday, 15th January 2022 at the Wa Sports Stadium.

The region is preparing towards the 4th edition of the National Cross Country Championship. The National Cross Country Championship is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 19th February 2022 at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

The event will commence at exactly 6:00 am at Wa Sports Stadium.

The theme for the event is dubbed “running for peace and unity”.

NOTE: ALL ATHLETES ARE TO PARTICIPATE TO FACILIATE THE SELECTION OF A TEAM TO REPRESENT THE UPPER WEST REGION AT THE FORTHCOMING NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP IN AKIM ODA, EASTERN REGION. JUSTIFY YOUR INCLUSION.

Dignitaries expected at the event are Upper West Regional Minister Dr. Hafiz Bin Salin, Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Prof Peter Twumasi, Upper West Regional National Sports Authority Director Bushran N. Mumuni, and National Sports Authority Organising Partner Ishmail Saani Abacha.
