Upper East Inter District Cross Country 2022

The National Sports Authority (NSA) in collaboration with the Upper East Regional Athletics Association is pleased to present the Upper East Regional Inter District Cross Country Championship 2022.

Upper East Region is part of the dominant of the best distance runners in Ghana, especially the female category. The region is preparing towards the 4th edition of the National Cross Country Championship. The National Cross Country Championship is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 19th February 2022 at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

The Cross Country Championship will take place on Saturday, 22nd January 2022 at Bolgatanga the capital city of the Upper East Region.

The event will commence at exactly 5:30 am early in the morning. The venue of the event will be at the Rawlings Sports Stadium (Big Boss).

The theme for the maiden edition of the event is dubbed “Combating Covid-19 Through Sports”.

The purpose of the event is to select the best athletes to represent the region at the upcoming NSA National Cross Country Championship 2022 at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

NOTE: “ALL DISTRICTS ARE TO PARTICIPATE TO FACILITATE THE SELECTION OF A TEAM TO REPRESENT THE REGION AT THE FORTHCOMING NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP IN ODA, EASTERN REGION. Justify Your inclusion”.

Dignitaries expected at the event are the Municipal Chief Executive of Bolgatanga, Honourable Rex Asanga, the President of Ghana Athletics Association (GAA), Mr. Ababu Afelibiek, Upper East Regional Physical Education Coordinator, Mrs. Daina Abor, and among others.
