Twist & Turn As Eastern Inter-District XC and Sefwi Wiaso Coaching Course All Postponed

The coming weekend was assumed busy in Ghana due to the schedule of running competitions and programs of Coaching Courses. But the breaking news reaching us is that it seems all the events have been postponed during the last days prior to the scheduled dates. Twist & turn as Eastern inter-district XC and Sefwi Wiaso coaching course all postponed.

Eastern Regional Inter-District Cross-Country

The Eastern Regional Inter-District Cross-Country was scheduled to take place on Saturday 23^rd October. The purpose of the competition is for the selection of athletes from the region to represent them during the upcoming National Cross Country Championship in 2022. The National Cross-Country Championship will be organised by the National Sports Authority (NSA) and Eastern Region was selected as the host region. The host city is Akim Oda which will be held in February 2022.

“Due to late confirmation of some of the MMDCE who are major stakeholders has affected the selection of districts teams to participate in the Inter Districts Cross Country. The districts were also supposed to support the event. So for these reasons the justifier has been postponed to 19^th – 20^th November 2021. Thanks” said, race organisers.

Sefwi Wiaso Coaching Course

The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) last week released its last quarter of programs for the year 2021. The Coaching Courses for the courses are to begin again coming this weekend at Sefwi Wiaso in the Western North Region. The program was said to commence on Sunday 24^th and end on Friday 29^th October. The 5-day Coaching Course has been postponed to next month.

According to the Local Organising Secretary of the Ghana Athletics Association, Sargent Mr. Emmanuel Appiah Kubi, the date of the program has been changed and a new date will be confirmed in the course of the week. The Coaching Course program has been postponed to next month in November. Although the venue still remains the same.
