Tokyo 2020 Sifan Hassan Wins The Women’s 5000m Final

The double world champion Sifan Hassan completed part one of her mission to the Tokyo Olympic Games in the 5000m. She will compete in the 1500m and 10,000m and aim for the treble.

The Dutch athlete won the 5000m in 14.36.79 after kicking out Hellen Obiri in a sprint finish in the final lap while Hellen Obiri place second in 14:38.36 for the Kenyan athlete and Gudaf Tsegay from Ethiopia finished third in 14:38.87.
