Three more Black Stars have arrived in Doha for Afcon 2021
Three new Black Stars players have arrived in Doha, Qatar to join the team. Jonathan Mensah, Joseph Paintsil, and Benjamin Tetteh have arrived in Doha to join the Black Stars’ training camp ahead of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon). Three more Black Stars have arrived in Doha for Afcon 2021.
To expand the number of players at camp from nine to twelve, the trio joined the team’s training at the Aspire Academy grounds.
The nine players who began their preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations under Coach Milovan Rajevac were Richard Attah, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Alexander Djiku, Mubarak Wakaso, David Abagna, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Gideon Mensah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Maxwell Abbey Quaye.
The team’s first practice was done indoors on Sunday, December 26, before taking to the field for fieldwork at the Aspire Stadium in Doha on Monday.
The Ghana Black Stars were supposed to play their first friendly today, according to the Ghana Football Association’s schedule, but the game has been canceled. Reasons still remain undisclosed to the media.
The players at camp, on the other hand, will have afternoon and evening training sessions today per their regular schedule.

The Black Stars were supposed to play three preparation-friendly matches in Doha before departing to Cameroon for the Afcon 2022.
