We all know all the Eastern African countries are well known for their high altitudes. The weather conditions are different as compared to the West. Arguably when it comes to running you can’t eliminate the dominance of these Eastern nations.

“So far the team is just relaxing, doing little warm-up since from yesterday and today. My athletes are trying to get used to the weather here in Kenya. The weather is very cold now. However, some teams are still arriving today” said Coach Akuka.

Currently, there are ten universities across Africa that have confirmed their participation. The countries include Kenya as host nation, Ghana, Uganda, and South Africa.

The Africa University Sports (FASU) has also acknowledged the University of Ghana and all the other contingents on their official Facebook page.
