In the history of Ghana Athletics there are only three athletes who have run under 10 seconds in the 100 meters. Ghana is a country where most of its athletes are sprinters. 3. Abdul Aziz Zakari

Aziz Zakari is the second Ghanaian athlete to also run under 10 seconds in the 100 meters event. Aziz Zakari ran a time of 9:99 seconds (wind 1.6). Although he did 9:99 seconds but it couldnāt help him to become the record holder because Leonard Myles āMills time was 9:98 seconds which was just some micro seconds ahead of Abdul Aziz Zakariās records.
Abdul Aziz Zakari is a Ghanaian athlete specializing in the 100 meters. He was born in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. He participated in the 2000 Summer Olympic Games which was held in Sydney, Australia, he progressed to the final in the 100 meters but failed to finish after becoming injured at about 35 meters mark.
2. Leonard Myles-Mills

The first Ghanaian athlete to run under 10 seconds isĀ Leonard Myles āMills on 5th June 1998. Leonard Myles-Mills did a time of 9.98 seconds (wind 1.6) which become the new Ghana record in the 100 meters dash. Leonard Myles-Mills is a Ghanaian Olympic Athlete. He competed in the 2000 Olympic Games which was held in Sydney, Australia and 2004 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad and commonly known as Athens 2004, Athens, Greece.
Leonard Myles-Mills is a Ghanaian former athlete who specialized in the 100 meters. He ran a personal best of 9:98 seconds for the event in 1998. He became the first Ghanaian to break the 10 seconds barrier. He also holds the 60 meters African record. Leonard Myles-Mills was born in Accra, Ghana, West Africa.

- Benjamin Kwaku Azamati
Benjamin Kwaku Azamati is the youngest Ghanaian athlete to ever run the 100 meters event under 10 seconds. Benjamin Kwaku Azamati ran a time of 9:97 seconds for the event on 26th May, 2021 (1.5) this year. His time made a history in the Ghana and the whole world at large by breaking Leonard Myles- Mills all time record. Leonard Myles-Mills record stood for over 22 years in Ghana history.
Benjamin Kwaku Azamatiās 9:97 seconds is currently the second best time in the world. His time also qualifies him to the upcoming Tokyo Summer Olympic Games. He became the third Ghanaian athlete to qualify for the Olympic Games.
Benjamin Kwaku Azamati is a Ghanaian sprinter, who currently competes at West Texas A&M University, United States of America (USA). He was born at Akim Oda, Eastern Region, Ghana, West Africa.
Benjamin KwaKu Azamati is the new Ghanaian Record Holder in the 100 meters event.
