“We are trying to bring Ashanti sprint which will even have the brand of His Royal Majesty Otumfoɔ Osei Tutu II as the trade name”, added Emmanuel Appiah Kubi.

He also made it known to on finance, that he is willing to go in for financial assistance from big men in town so to sponsor athletes in the region whenever there is a competition in and out of the region. Furthermore, the scaling system that Ghana Education Service (GES) uses during the Basic Schools Athletics competition will be the thing of the past since he is ever ready to talk to the various heads of schools. He believed that there will be changes so they can abolish it to make it open to all athletes.

Lastly, there will be curtain-raiser races whenever there is a football match in the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. He also told us that the coronavirus pandemic (covid-19) didn’t help him to be able to achieve most of his goals.  But he tried his best for most of the athletes to secure the funds, which was introduced by the government to help athletes in the country. Most of the beneficiaries were from the Ashanti Region and am proud of that achievement.

He also thanked everyone who came and to vote. To those who organised this election had done great work and it was successful. He also promised together to work with all coaches, athletes, and his competitors for the betterment of Ashanti Regional Athletics.
