TEAM CENTRAL PRESENTS TROPHY TO THE REGIONAL MINISTER
The Central Regional Long Distance Team paid a courtesy call on the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan today, 28th February 2022 at the Regional Coordinating Council’s Office.
The Team led by the Ag. Regional Sports Director, Mr. Alexander Tieku presented the Trophy for the Best Males Team won at the just-ended National Cross County event to the Hon. Regional Minister and her team.
The Regional Minister received the Team wholeheartedly and applauded them for their unprecedented feat and for uplifting the image of the region on the National scale.
She later made an undisclosed donation on behalf of herself and the Central Regional Coordinating Council to Team Central which was received by the Ag. Regional Sports Director for the NSA.
The Ag. Regional Sports Director thanked the Minister for the kind gesture and that when the region received the invitation to participate in the National Cross Country, the Secretariat led by himself and some Staff called on the Hon. Regional Minister to discuss preparation and participation. She didn’t turn her back but offered financial support and encouraged the team to go make the region proud.
He added that Team Central is eternally grateful to the Hon. Central Regional Minister and the Regional Coordinating Council for their rich support without which Team Central would not have chalked the enviable feat in the just ended cross country by placing first in the male category.
