Tamale Marathon: New Date, Route Certified, And Prize

The maiden edition of the Tamale Marathon was scheduled for 25th September 2021. Unfortunately, it was rescheduled to 6th November 2021 but due to some technical issues, the race was postponed again. Tamale Marathon: New Date, route certified, and prize.

The news reaching is that the final date has been confirmed today by the race director, Mr. Charles Cobbina.

The Physical Education Coordinator of the Northern Region, Mr. Sando is the head of technical staff of the Tamale Marathon. he was among those who welcomed the Technical Committee from the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA).

According to the Race Director, Mr. Charles Cobbina, the 20th November can’t be possible so after consultations with the stakeholders, they all concluded that it must be moved to a week ahead.

There were a lot of rumors circulating around that the maiden edition of the Tamale Marathon will be postponed to next year.

Mr. Charles Cobbina said “a new date has been scheduled and now it’s on the 27th November 2021. The route has been authenticated and GAA has given us the green light. The prize and route remain the same. The race is coming on and we expect all athletes to take part”.
