All Senior High School (SHS) Students must be vaccinated before attending school to avoid any further coronavirus infections among students. This directive is from the Ghana Education Service (GES). SHS students must be vaccinated before attending school – GES declares ahead of reopening of school.
As soon as they arrive at school, senior high school students must receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwah, Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), revealed this in an interview with Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo”.
Prof. Opoku Amankwah, who explained the new academic calendar for schools from Junior High to Senior High, where he stated that the trimester that was introduced into the school has come to an end, urged parents and guardians to ensure that their children do not attend school without having received their vaccination, as well as those on campus, to protect themselves.

”It’s important that every student aged 15 years and above should receive the COVID jab. So, we plead with the parents to ensure their children are inoculated before they go to school”, he said.
