Samuel Awini Sets A New Course Record In Bono East Regional Cross Country 2021

Ghana’s sensational distance runner Samuel Awini has won the Bono East Regional Cross Country and Health Walk in a course record time. Samuel who won the GBC Volta Star 10km last 2 weeks ago and set a new course record has done it again at Kintampo in the Bono East Region of Ghana. Samuel Awini sets a new course record in Bono East Regional Cross Country 2021.

Awini was preparing for the Tamale Marathon and unfortunately, it has been cancelled. He has set a new course record in the Bono East Regional Cross Country Championship.

“I was training for the Tamale Marathon but I heard it has been called off and it will be held next. So my coach called me to come and try this race. I know I was coming to win because the kind of training I was doing ahead of the Tamale Marathon was very hot. I know there will be a challenge but I was not afraid”, said Samuel Awini.

Samuel Awini crossed the finish line in 31:04 seconds, while David Nakousi of Adisadel College also finished second in 32:05 seconds and Hamza Amidu placed third in 32:11 seconds.
