On Saturday, Kenya’s Hellen Obiri won the Northern Ireland International Cross Country, a World Athletics Cross Country Tour Silver event in Dundonald (22).

Unfazed throughout, the global cross country champion raced 26:44 to win the women’s 8km event by 20 seconds, with Hannah Irwin of Northern Ireland winning the domestic battle behind her to finish second, three seconds ahead of Scotland’s Mhairi Maclennan.
