2022 Chevron Houston Marathon is a World Athletics elite label road race and was held on Sunday, 16 January 2022 in the United States.
United State’s Keira D’Amato won the Women’s Chevron Houston Marathon in 2:19:12 which is a new United States National Record, while Alice Wright of Great Britain placed second in 2:29:08 and Maggie Montoya of United States finished third in 2:29:08. In the male category was a fierce battle between seven strong athletes from the start of the race. Kenya’s James Ngandu won the men Chevron Houston Marathon in 2:11:03 while Abdi Abdo of Qatar placed second in 2:11:11 and Elisha Barno also from Kenya finished third in 2:11:16. It was a sprint finish and all the first seven athletes all finished under 2:12 with just some seconds intervals.
