Report GPL Week 11: Karela United 4 – 2 Eleven Wonders

Samuel Atta Kumi opened the scoring for the home side as early as the third minute before Richard Berko made it 2-0 with three minutes left to end the first half. Report GPL Week 11: Karela United 4 – 2 Eleven Wonders in a six goal thriller.

Karela United led 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Samuel Atta Kumi and Richard Berko, but there were four goals in a spectacular second-half finale.

Berko scored his second goal of the afternoon to extend the lead, but Ibrahim Larry equalized for the visitors, Umar Bashiru doubled the lead from the penalty spot, and Abass Ganiu reduced the deficit.

Karela United made a strong start to the game, scoring first through Samuel Atta Kumi in the second minute.

Before the break, Richard Berko doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 41st minute, putting Karela United up 2-0.

Berko upped his side’s total and scored his second goal of the game in the 47th minute, giving the Pride and Passion a big boost going into the second half.

Ibrahim Larry scored in the 59th minute, giving the visitors their first shot at goal.

Umar Bashiru, a former Asante Kotoko midfielder, sealed Eleven Wonders’ fate with a penalty conversion in the 67th minute.

The visitors pushed harder in attack to at least get a good score, with Abass Ganiu reducing the gap in the 82nd minute.

With the remaining match-day 11 matchups still to play, the result will lift Karela United out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.
