Breaking News: The Maiden Edition Of The Tamale Marathon Called Off

PRIZE MONEY, REGISTRATION, AND SPECIAL PRIZES OF THE TAMALE MARATHON

The maiden edition of the Tamale Half Marathon is scheduled for 6 November 2021. The event will be held in the Northern Region in the Tamale Metropolis. The event is expected to attract over 500+ athletes from all the sixteen regions in Ghana. Other nationals are also expected to compete in this mega event. The prize money for the event is out now. Below is the full details of all the event.

“It is the intention of the promoters of THE-TAMALE-MARATHON to make the prizes and awards one of the most lucrative in Ghana with the belief that the cash prizes and awards accrued with go into education or provide capital to start up a business. All top ten winners will be given entrepreneurial training by a partner institution.

  • All participants will pay a registration fee of 20gh cedis.
  • All participants will be encouraged to plant a tree as part of the Marathon (GREENING GHANA) Tree Planting Advocacy and Campaign.
  • All participants will obtain from the organisers a running vest, a running number, water, accommodation for one night only, and water during the race
  • All participants will have to undertake COVID-19 protocol procedures.
  • Only the top 20 finishers within 3 hours of the start of the race will receive recognised prizes
  • The oldest and the youngest participants will be considered for prizes.”

Registration of the Tamale Half Marathon will be opened on 15 October 2021. Remember registration fee is 20 GHC and the dollar equivalent is 3.30 USD
