Preview of Meeting Lievin Men’s 2000 Meters
Abel Kipsang, the Olympic 1500m fourth-place finisher, will compete in the 2000 meters for the second time indoors just five days after winning the 1500m in 3:36.23.
Over this infrequently contested distance, Kipsang might go for the Kenyan record of 4:55.72. The 25-year-old Kenyan middle-distance runner will compete against France’s Azzedine Habz (PB 3:31.74).
Ethiopia’s Samuel Zeleke (PB 3:32.80), and Germany’s Maximilian Thorwirth, established his indoor PB of 7:38.14 in the 3000m in Staten Island.
