The Minister of Youth and Sports Honourable Ussif Mustapha has inspected the on going works on the University of Ghana’s (UG) Sports Stadium.
The UG Sports Stadium was earlier announced that it will be shut down to undergo renovations ahead of the upcoming 2023 African Games.

Ghana will be the hosting the 13th African Games and massive infrastructural projects are being built not only at the UG Sports Stadium but also Borteyman. A sports complex is being built at Boeteyman which will later be converted into a Sports University for Ghana.
Earlier today, I toured construction sites for the hosting of the 2023 African Games to inspect ongoing works. After reviewing the monthly reports from the contractors, I’m impressed with the current rate of work and optimistic of the constructors meeting the time schedule”, said the Sports Minister Honourable Ussif Mustapha
