Oti Regional Inter District Cross Country 2022

The National Sports Authority (NSA) in collaboration with the Oti Regional Coordinating Council is pleased to present the maiden edition of the Inter-District Cross Country Championship.

Oti Region is part of the new six created regions in Ghana and they have already started their preparations towards the 4th edition of the National Cross Country Championship. The National Cross Country Championship is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 19th February 2022 at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

The Oti Regional Inter District Cross Country Championship will take place on Saturday, 8th January 2022 at Dambai the capital city of Oti Region.

The event will commence at exactly 5:30 am early in the morning. The start point is from the Mist Senior High School, Dambai, and the finish point is at Lapaz Park, Dambai. The route is 10km from start to finish.

The theme for the maiden edition of the event is dubbed “Projecting Oti Through Sports”.

The purpose of the event is to select the best athletes to represent the region at the upcoming NSA National Cross Country Championship 2022 at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

Note: “All Districts are to participate to facilitate the selection of a team to represent the region at the Forthcoming National Cross Country Championship in Oda, Eastern Region.”

Dignitaries expected at the event are Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) Prof. Peter Twumasi, Oti Regional Minister Hon. Joshua G. Makubu, Oti Regional Director of National Sports Authority Ms. Joyce Datsa, Chief of Dambai Nana Kwaku Beyebbor II among others.
