Nadia Eke And Others To Be Honoured By Women In Sports Association (WISA)

The Women in Sports Association (WISA) will honour about 48 Sports Personalities in Ghana and abroad. This honour is to uplift the image of our female’s sports personalities in the country. A lot of the women in the sports fraternity do not get the maximum exposure and the commitment needed to do the work diligently. Empowering our sportswomen has created an avenue and encouraged most of our women to take sports to the next level.

The Women in Sports Association (WISA) will be honouring some of our sportswomen on Saturday, September 25, 2021. The event will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium, Greater Accra.

In Athletics is our triple jumper Olympian, Nadia Eke. Nadia retired after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and her selfless dedication to the country has paid off and she will be honoured coming this Saturday.

Madam Gloria Commodore, the president of the Women in Sports Association, a veteran sports journalist who is also a member of SWAG and AIPS said “it is encouraging to recognise and reward individuals who stand up and work very hard. She said due to Covid-19, the event was not held in 2020, so the winners have become plenty. She appealed to companies and people who love sports to support the WISA initiative which is in its 7th season. She commended the media Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and National Sports Authority (NSA) for supporting WISA and the Awards Programme.”
