The Arrows Athletic Club is among the leading and the best athletics clubs in Ghana notably for unearthing and nurturing of talents. The Arrows Athletic Club will take part in the maiden edition of the Tamale Half Marathon on Saturday 6 November 2021.

The Tamale Half Marathon will be the first competitive road race event to be held in the Northern sector.

The Head Coach of the Arrows Athletic Club in an interview said that we all know that Tamale is a beautiful city in Ghana. He is sending five (5) of his team athletes of which two are males and 3 females.

“The boys are Noah Wumborichie and Stephen Lamisi while the other three girls are Amanda Kotambe, Sherrifa Moro, and Salamatu Mumuni Aziah. We are determined and we are bringing victory back home to Ashanti Region. My athlete’s target is to be among the top 3 spots in both categories and I believe by God’s grace we can make it and nothing can stop us. Victory is ours!”, Coach Atta Bright added.

According to him, he has put a lot of effort during training hours and his athletes always show positive signs. Most of my athletes are from the Northern Sector so they are very happy going back home and to meet their old friends again. We are going there to beat them.

Coach Bright also commended the organisers of the event for bringing such a race to the Northern Region of Ghana and said that he hopes for a good organisation in tomorrow’s competition.
