Meet Diana Kuubetegr a Para Athlete from Ghana
Meet Diana Kuubetegr, a para athlete from Ghana and a beneficiary of the Maaron Initiative – High Morale Athletics Athlete – from Nandom, Upper West Region. She is among the young Ghanaian athletes that have benefited from the Maaron Initiative.
Diana is specialising in the middle distance events on the track. Although, she has competed in some of the major championships in the country and abroad.
In 2019: Kwahu Marathon, Asante Akyem Marathon Challenge, Millennium Marathon
In 2020: Kwahu Mountain Marathon, Koforidua Marathon, Sekondi-Takoradi Marathon
In 2021:
In 2022: National Sports Authority (NSA) Cross Country Championships in Akim Oda.
She has also participated in numerous track events as an athlete.

“In a spectacular scene during the race, Kuubetegr Diana of Nandom Girls Model School from Upper West Region was the only physically challenged person to take part of the event and her performance drew applauds and plaudits from the audience and the dignitaries who graced the competition” LOC Archives reported on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
Diana is now in her final year at the Nandom Girls Model School in the Upper West Region. She is preparing to write her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which is slated to commence on Tuesday, 18 – Friday, 21 October.
Diana is poised to represent Ghana at the international level in some years to come in athletics. But she is currently focusing on her upcoming exams.
According to his coach, Diana still trains in the morning before she goes to class. She is expected to take part in the inaugural edition of the 2022 Maaron Championships.
