The National Communication Authority has brought out measures to combat the overcrowding of citizens at the ongoing sim re-registration exercise in the country.
The new directive was issued on 6th January 2022.

“The National Communications Authority (NCA) has taken note of some public concerns regarding the SIM Registration Exercise with specific regards to long queues and congestion at the Customer Care Centres of Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)”.
Most of the Ghanaians are complaining of this initiative of the sim re-registration with the Ghana Card but NCA continues the project.
NCA also gave some procedures before you visit the telcos.

Dial *404# and link your Ghana Card to your sim first before going to the shops to continue the next step.
Also, they will be expanding the registration centres to all national post offices, NCA Regional Offices, Community ICT Centres which were established by the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) and more will be added.
