Rangnick has led United to three wins in three games in all categories since his arrival at Old Trafford, however, the club has had two Premier League games postponed, with the most recent match taking place on December 11.
The Serbian national, Nemanja Matic is regarded as one the best defensive midfielders in the English Premier League (EPL). He was an attacking midfielder during his years at the Portuguese giants Benfica.

The 63-year-old German is a supporter of “gegenpressing,” a football style in which teams press high and utilise counter-pressing to get the ball back as quickly as possible rather than retreating to regroup.
“We have a good understanding of his ideas and the role he intends to play. We’ll get to where he wants us eventually. It’s a mixture of things, not just pressing… “You have to be physically prepared and strategically sound,” Matic stated.
“Every manager who joins a new club requires time to adjust. We’ll take our time, but we have enough skill in the squad to pick up on his instructions fast and play the way he wants.
“We’re already getting used to him.” It’s only the beginning, but we’re all optimistic about the future.”
On Monday, 27th December 2021, United will travel to Newcastle United, before hosting Burnley on Thursday and Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday 3rd January 2022.
