Madrid 2022: Preview of Women’s 60m Hurdles World Athletics Indoor Tour Meeting
This year, Reetta Hurske of Finland and Zoe Sedney of the Netherlands have both surpassed the 8-second barrier. Hurske had a solid season, winning two meetings at Berlin (7.99) and Lodz (7.93), while finishing second in Dusseldorf (8.01) and Torun (7.96).
Sedney won the World Indoor Tour competition in Birmingham in 8.02 seconds and the national title in Apeldoorn in 7.98 seconds.
Laeticia Bapté is the other favorite, having won the World Indoor Tour race in Liévin in 8.00 and the French crown in Miramas in 8.04 last weekend.
The best Spanish hurdlers in the line-up are Tereza Errandonea, and Xenia Benach, who finished first and second at the National Championships in Ourense last weekend.
