LOOKING FOR BEAUTY WITHIN GHANA, THE SEKONDI-TAKORADI/TAMALE PILOT – MR. CHARLES COBINNA STORY
I have lived in Ghana all my life. Born here, educated here, married here, blessed with children here, and working here. All, in over half a century. I know Ghana. I love Ghana and I believe in the beauties of Ghana.
In the past two years, the world, I dare say, has changed. The devastation of COVID-19 has evolved in its wake, the parlance of the New Normal.

In this New Normal, we in Ghana must necessarily look within for new beautiful things. Beautiful things of business joint ventures, local tourism, new cultural or festival friendships, governance systems, and building peaceful enclaves in all our communities.
In exploring partnerships between our communities. Of particular interest, the Western Region and the Northern Regions.
SEKONDI-TAKORADI and the CITY OF TAMALE make a perfect match. Yes, many Ghanaian cities have sister city relationships with cities beyond our shores. Plymouth, Boston, Sydney, and Bombay easily come to mind.

SEKONDI-TAKORADI and TAMALE have a lot to share and explore. Such is the vision of the two Regional Ministers of the Western Region and Northern Region, and their respective City Mayors. Festivals, Kinship Tourism Centres, Food, Potential of the Youth, and many more to share.
With this Ghana Sister Cities Project, after SEKONDI-TAKORADI and TAMALE, there could be Bolga and Tarkwa; Yendi and Essikado; Nkroful and Gwollow, and hopefully many more.
There are beautiful things in Ghana. It is time to look within. We can make Life Beyond Aid easily achievable and sustainable. Damba and Kundum, Tuna and Akonfem, Fugu and Kente and of course Enskinment and Enstoolment, plus Educational program exchange.
