United States’ Kenneth Bednarek won the men’s 200m race dash in 19.65 seconds, while his team countryman Fred Kerley place second in 19.77 and the most rated Bahama’s 400m sprinter in the world currently Steven Gardiner debuted his the 200m and finished in 20.11 seconds. Steven is the 400m Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist.
Kenneth Bednarek said “I was really hoping for a personal best tonight as I know this is a fast track, but the wind was too strong. I didn’t feel the cold too much until we had the false start, then it started to affect me a bit. I knew I could not sleep on Gardiner and must show him respect.”
