Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the event this time in a meeting record, season-best, and a personal best in 10.60 seconds. Shelly-Ann now becomes the 3rd fastest woman in the world and the 3rd fastest woman in history. Shelly-Ann becomes the first female athlete to run most of the 100m dash under 10 seconds.

The reigning Olympic gold medalist in the 100m, 200m, and 4×100m Elaine Thompson-Herah place second in 10.64 while Shericka Jackson finished third in 10.92 seconds ahead of the African record holder in the 100m dash Marie Josee Ta Lou from Cote D’Ivoire. Marie Josee Ta Lou finished in 10.94 seconds.

“Believe it or not, I still haven’t run my best race”. There will be more from me this season, and certainly, my goal is to break into the 10.50 range” said Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.
