Lariba Sakat Wins Good Day Cross Country Championship
The Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Region II half marathon and 1500 metres gold medalist, Lariba Sakat continues her dominancy in the distance competitions in West Africa. She won the maiden edition of the Good Day Cross Country Championship in the female category. Lariba has been a sensational athlete and she vows to end her season unbeaten in Ghana. She wants to become the first female athlete to achieve this milestone. Lariba Sakat wins Good Day Cross Country Championship.
The Good Day Cross Country Championship was a 12km route and it’s the first edition of the mega event. The competition was very competitive and almost all the best distance runners in Ghana were at the starting line. There were over 30 female athletes who took part in the event. There was no casualty and every female athlete cross the line.

Lariba being the female athlete crossed the finish line in 47:47 seconds, while Rosina Titi one of the best upcoming female distance athletes in Ghana currently also finished second in 52:24 seconds, and Sherifa Moro, the Ashanti Regional Cross Country Champion also place third in 53:05 seconds.
