Lariba Sakat Wins 2022 National Cross Country Championship

Lariba Sakat has won the 2022 National Sports Authority- NSA 2022 National Cross Country Championship at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

The fourth edition of the National Cross Country Championship was held on Saturday, 26th February 2022.

The University of Education’s student was a pre-race favourite and has never lost any local and international race almost 4 years in now. In 2021, he won the CAA Region II 1500m and half marathon that was organised in Nigeria.

Lariba Sakat (Upper East Region) won in a course record time in 35:07.90 seconds while another sensational and phenomenal athlete Sherifa Moro of Ashanti Region finished second in 35:41.51 seconds and Rosina Titi (Upper West Region) came third in 35:41.51 seconds.
