Results: 2022 University of Education Cross Country

Ghana’s sensational middle and long-distance athlete Lariba Sakat will be debuting in her National Cross Country Championship that is being organised by the National Sports Authority (NSA).

This championship is being competed by only the 16 regions in Ghana.

In 2019, 2020 and 2021 Lariba has never been beaten in any competition before being local or international. She won the CAA Region II unprecedented gold medals in both 1500m and half marathon in Nigeria.

She also started her 2022 season by dominating the maiden edition of the Ghana Armed Forces Cross Country Championship in the female category.

She is a pre-race favourite for the fourth edition of the NSA National Cross Country Championship.

Other females include Sherifa Moro of Ashanti Region and the defending champion Belinda Segbor of the Upper East Region, Hannah Adompaka of Ashanti Region amongst others. Lariba Sakat to debut in her National X-Country Championship.

The 2022 National Cross Country Championship is scheduled to take place tomorrow, on Saturday, 26th February at Akim Oda in the Eastern Region.

The theme for this years’ event is dubbed “Running Towards the 13th African Games, Accra 2023” under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
