Kenyans Conquer RomaOstia Half Marathon And Set New Records

Kenyans have conquered RomaOstia Half Marathon and set new course records in both categories. On Sunday, March 6, the 2022 edition of the RomaOstia Half Marathon set new course records for both men and women.

Kenyan Sebastian Sawe won the men’s race in a time of 58:02, shattering the previous track record of 58:44. He won by moreover a minute over his compatriot Solomon Kirwa Yego, the 2016 Rome winner. The top six men in the RomaOstia men’s race breached the one-hour barrier.

Irene Kimais gave Kenya a double triumph by winning the women’s race in a new circuit record time of 1:06:03. She cut half a minute off the previous course mark, which was achieved last year by compatriot Joyce Chepkemoi Tele. Kenyans Conquer RomaOstia Half Marathon And Set New Records.
