Janet Mensah wins women’s 200m in LOC Invitational Championships – Janet Mensah from the Ashanti Region left to the final 10 meters to steal the show as she overtook Grace Obour to win the women’s 200m final race at the Local Organising Committee for the 13th African Games (LOC) Invitational Championship at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Friday morning.

Mensah recorded a time of 24.23 seconds to win over the pre-race favourite Grace Obour of the University of Ghana, who was clearly outgassed at the last moments of the race. Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Athlete Ethel Amisah also placed third in 25.27 seconds
