Janet Mensah Ready to Set Kumasi Ablaze – The new West African track queen and Ghana’s undisputed 100m champion Janet Mensah has vowed to set Kumasi “the Garden City” ablaze once again.

Janet was an outstanding athlete during the maiden edition of the Past Athletes Association of Ghana (PAAG) Invitational Championships. The event was held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

She runs a new personal best in 11.78 seconds in the 100m dash. She has never been defeated in any of the competitions held in Ghana in 2022. read more

“Am ready to run a new personal best and the GNPC Ghana Fastest Human Meet at the Paa Joe Stadium. I know I will get tough competitors but am ready for anything”, Janet Mensah disclosed on Garden City Radio, Kumasi.

Janet also won the women’s 200m dash in the Local Organising Committee for the 13th African Games Invitational Championships that was held at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The interesting GNPC Ghana Fastest Human competition 2022 train which started in the north at the Tamale Alhaji Aliu Mahama Stadium on 4th June moves to Kumasi Paa Joe Stadium on 9th July 2022. read more

“As her caliber and performance now, it would be better if she gets sponsored for races outside Ghana. We need to support our own athletes because they are doing well even in Ghana here. So there is the possibility that they can excel easily when giving the nod”, Coach Koora as Janet’s adviser added.
