“I want Adenta to be a destination city in Africa”, Mr. Emmanuel Antwi
Mr. Emmanuel Antwi the General Director of the maiden edition of the Adenta Sports Festival has disclosed that he has a lot of good intentions for Adenta Municipality and the motive for the organisation of the sports festival is to make Adenta a tourist destination in Ghana and Africa as whole.
According to him, Adenta is among the largest cities in the country and the youth in that area need some sought of hope for the future. He has been organising a lot of events and just recently was Ashiyie-Adenta 10km Classic, Ashie-Adenta 5km Classic, Mountain Cycling Race, and Kids Cycling.
He is also the manager of the famous Emagee Fitness Centre located at Adenta, Accra.
Who is Mr. Emmanuel Antwi? He is an ex-military officer who served in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and in the American Armed Forces (Pentagon). He was leaving in the United States and relocated to Ghana a few years ago.
“I want Adenta to be a tourist destination in Africa through sports. I want the youth in the area to have hope and purpose for the future. I believe sport is a tool that can help me to achieve my generous ambitions for the youth”, Mr. Emmanuel Antwi said.
He also noted and appealed for support from individuals, companies, and government institutions to support such initiatives which at long last all the people in the community will benefit from it.
The 2023 Adenta Sports Festival is scheduled to take place from Saturday 4 – Monday 6, 2023. There will be a duathlon, football, and other games. He calls on all sports enthusiasm and sports lovers to come with their wards. You can run, jog or walk in the 10km race and also there will be a 3.5km kid’s fun run as well.
