High Morale Athletics Academy Athletes Shine in Millennium Marathon

High Morale Athletics Academy (HMAA) athletes have produced tremendous performances in the 2022 Millennium Marathon on a bright and colourful day in Accra.
The Millennium Marathon is regarded as one of the biggest and the highest paid road races in Ghana, was held on Saturday, 3 September 2022 in Accra, Greater Accra Region.
The race was postponed in 2020 and later canceled in both 2020 and 2021 which made the mega event inactive for 2 conservative years.
The High Morale Athletics Academy is one of the biggest and most vibrant running clubs in Ghana currently. It has been in existence for decades and it was officially launched on Saturday, 27th August 2022 at the Municipal Assembly’s Conference Hall in Nandom, Upper West Region.

HMAA Athletes Performace in the 2022 Millennium Marathon
The Women’s Half Marathon Elite Field
Titi Rosina -gold medalist – personal best – season best –Ā won the female 21km elite race, Vida Ayaayine also placed sixth, while Reina Tuolong, Joana Asakiyaba, and Elizabeth Azure took eighth, ninth, and tenth positions respectively.
In the 5km race, Haruna Latifa – bronze medalist- also placed third, Mavis Ayaaba – eighth and Sandra Boinde -eleventh position in the females’ category.
The Men’s Half Marathon Elite Field.
The 2022 Maaron Championship 10km winner – David Nakousi -managed to finish fourth in a very strong and experienced field, while Awini Ataylar Samuel placed fifth and Hamza Alobig placed ninth.
