Haruna Adamu To Act As Covid Liason Officer At GOC
Haruna Adamu has been appointed as GOC Covid-19 Liaison Officer. for the upcoming Tokyo Games.
The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has appointed Mr. Haruna Adamu as the Covid-19 Liaison Officer for Team Ghana at the Summer Tokyo Olympic Games.
The duties of the Covid-19 Liaison Officer:
Ensuring everyone complies with rules, including playbook and other covid-19 countermeasures, before the departure, during their entire stay in Japan and during their departure after the games. Haruna Adamu to act as covid Liason Officer at GOC.
The Covid-19 Liaison Officer is also responsible for submitting the team’s Schedule of Activities in Japan 45 days prior to their departure to the Japanese authority, prepare the team for their Negative Covid-19 Certificates and also make sure that they have uploaded the mandatory health apps on their phones.
The Covid-19 Liaison Officer is also responsible for reporting and handling travel documentation of all the athletes and also submitting positive covid-19 cases.
The Tokyo Olympic Games was postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to the corona virus pandemic. A lot of voices are calling them to call off the games but the stakeholders are determined to make this event a success. All covid-19 protocols are going to be observed and at least every athlete could be tested 3-4 daily.
The Ghanaian contingents will be representing in most of the disciplines and aiming to win some medals this time.
