The Ghana Premier League (GPL) has confirmed that the Hearts of Oak vs. Asante Kotoko derby will take place on Sunday, 20th February 2022. GPL Match Week 7: Accra Hearts of Oak vs Kumasi Asante Kotoko date confirmed

“The GPL Match Week 7 exceptional match will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium and will begin at 3pm,” according to a release.

“Due to Hearts of Oak’s involvement in the CAF competition preliminary matches, the match was postponed.


“This will be the final outstanding match of the 2021/22 League season’s first round.”

The defending champions have struggled to match their performance from previous season, when they swept aside opponents.

Samuel Boadu’s team was knocked out of both the CAF Champions League and the Confederations Cup respectively by a North African Teams.


The super clash between Accra Hearts of Oak vs Kumasi Asante Kotoko don’t necessarily depend on the individual form but mostly who plays very well during the day.
