Government Assures Maximum Support For Ghana Athletics Association
The Ghana Government has promised and now ready to support the Ghana Athletics to be able to produce good athletes and win medals for the country in the coming years.
The Youth and Sports Minister, Honourable Mustafa Ussif and his Deputy Evans Opoku Bobie have a deep encountered with the board members of the Ghana Athletics Association. The main agenda of this exclusive meeting was to discuss Ghana’s participation at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics Games and the future of Athletics in Ghana.
In recent years the coaches and athletes in Ghana has been crying for help from the government but it’s seems their grievances had been met by the Ghana Government.

In Ghana the only sports the government is passionate about is football but we do have hundreds of sporting events going on in the country. Government assures maximum Support for Ghana Athletics Association.
It’s a great honor and the athletes fraternity that’s Athletics fans are now very excited about this move.
The Ghana Athletics Association has been always complaining of financial difficulties when it comes to its duties.
This has render the association to be back lashed and branded as incompetent in their line of duties.
The Ghana Athletes will perform far better if they get the right support from the government as they usually do for football.
The Ghana Athletics Association feels neglected per the allocation of budget for the various federations and associations. But now the government has turned to look at those areas and its a very great news. This marks a new challenge for the Ghana Athletics to show the world that Ghana is also a power house when it comes to Athletics.
Just recently our local contingents were not able to join their others in Poland for the World Athletics Relays Championships due to financing.

The Ghana Athletics Association organises competitions every year but due to financial difficulties it always hasn’t been the best for the athletes.
The meeting was also said to have been the directive from the President. He also urge and emphasize particularly that all the Athletics team to have quality camping and support ahead of the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games In Japan.
