GOC/CGA President Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah Presents Medals To Women’s Long Jump Winners at 2022 Commonwealth Games

President of the Ghana Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association Ghana, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah presented Medals to winners of the Women’s Long Jump event which was won by Ese Brume of Nigeria and Australian Bruschkuel placing second for the silver.

Ghana’s Deborah Acquah placed third to grab bronze medal in the jump.

Before the Athletics ceremony, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah has presented medals to winners of Women’s Cycling and Judo Women’s 63kg at the Birmingham 2022 Games..

He said experiencing the Podium for your national anthem to be played is a magnificent feeling, and prayed that Ghana will win gold in boxing where two boxers are guaranteed bronze medal.

He was sad Ghana missed chances to win gold in some events, like boxing and athletics.

He hailed the Black Bombers who have improved upon their last outing at the 2018 Gold Coast Games in Australia.

The Ghana Boxing team won three medals, one bronze and two silver, while the Athletics team also won two bronze medals by Joseph Paul Amoah in Men’s 200m and Deborah Acquah in Women’s Long Jump.

Ghana only won five medals in the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
