Nigeria’s 4×100m relay team secures World Championships spot

The 2-days event begun on Friday, 24th and will end on Sunday, 26th June. The AFN will also use this championships to select its athletes to represent the country in the upcoming events: World Athletics Championships in Oregon, United States and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The Ghana 4×100m women’s relay team placed 3rd with a time of 46.55 while the men’s team also finished 2nd in 40.18. The women’s team comprises of: Mabel Amissah, Mary Boakye, Gifty kwakyewaa and Boakye Beatrice. The men’s team is made up of: Solomon Kwaku Hammond, Samiu Abdul-Rasheed, James Dadzie and Barnabas Asante Aggerh. read more
