Ghana Record Holder Set To Compete At Koforidua Marathon
Ghana’s Half Marathon Record Holder, Belinda Segbor will be competing in the second edition of the Koforidua Marathon. This will be the first marathon since 2019 after completing the Kwahu Marathon. Ghana record holder set to compete at Koforidua Marathon 2021.
According to her training is going on well but she stopped and concentrated on her exams. Belinda is now at Nabdam Model Girls Junior High School level 1 in the Upper East Region.
“We have vacated on the 7th December so am free to move around. But still am at Nabdam training. I was training twice while I was in school”, said Belinda.
The Koforidua Marathon is certified by the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) and is a 42.2km route.
She placed third during the 2019 Kwahu Marathon. Although, she couldn’t complete the Good Day Energy Cross Country Championship. The Good Day Cross Country championship was a 12km route and it was held at Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana. She had a stomach upset and she has to stop the race.

Belinda said “I was very disappointed because it was training very well for the cross country and this suddenly happened to me during the race day. But am determined to win the second edition of the Koforidua Marathon”.
