Back in the years, the race organisers always wait for the GAA calendar to come out before they also fix their dates. The current administration is making a lot of changes and they don’t want any race dates to be crushed as what we have been experiencing in the olden days.

The Local Organising Committee of the Ghana Athletics Association, Mr. Emmanuel Appiah Kubi (Sargent of the Ghana Prisons Service) said “the Technical Committee of GAA are waiting for those willing to organise competitions to bring their dates for us to fix it in the upcoming 2022 season. They shouldn’t wait for GAA Calendar to come out first”.

This means all race organisers can submit their date for the 2022 season and it’s free no payment is required. The GAA will later follow up to sanction your race after meeting all their standard in event organisation under their rules and regulations.
