Ghana Olympic Committee Meets Turkey Olympic Committee
Ghana Olympic Committee holds successful solidarity meetings with its counterpart from the Turkey Olympic Committee Executives.
Third vice president, Mr. Mohammed Mahadi of Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), and Secretary-General, Mrs. Nese Gundogan, of Turkish Olympic Committee on how Ghana can organise a successful African Games coming 2023. Ghana Olympic Committee meets Turkey Olympic Committee. The African Games is also called the African Olympic Games.
Mr. Mohammed Mahadi said āWe have two major tournaments in front of us thatās 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2023 Africa Games and most of the challenges we are facing is infrastructures and equipmentās to train.
āWe are having a discussion with a lot of National Olympics Committee to open their doors for us to have exchange program and also sign MoUs so that we can go there to trainā.
āThe reason why we went to Turkey is that they are looking up to qualify many athletes to the Olympics Games and Turkey is ready to welcome Ghana to prepare towards those tournamentsā, he added.
The President of Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah has stated ” it is the vision of His Excellency President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo and the sports Minister Hon. Mustapha Usif to host this Championship and win handsomely”.
Some dignitaries present were the International Relations Director, Kubra Yildirim and Aleyna Erdem from the Ghana Sports Department Representative (GSDR).
