GAF 2021: OFFICIAL 100M FULL RESULTS FOR BOTH CATEGORIES

In every competition, one of the events that are most challenged is the 100m dash. The 100m is the shortest outdoor event on the track and athletes are breaking and setting new records all over.

Ghana Armed Forces’ Mary Boakye won the women’s 100m race in 12.16 ahead of her teammate Sandra Konadu also finished in 12.51 and Hellen Adorbor from Tema Methodist Day Senior High School placed third in 12.88.

The men’s 100m race was just unbelievable, there was 19 straight heat and it was not an easy race. From the heats to semis and final. A lot of new emerging stars are coming into the scene and Ghana can boast of winning medals at the upcoming 13th African Games if these young athletes are nurtured. Augustine-Smith Arkoh-Bawuah from the Ghana Armed Forces won the 100m race in 11.03 ahead of his teammate Musa Iddrisu in 11.08 and Richmond Opoku from Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School placed third in 11.08. Richmond won both his heat and semis heat in 10.86 and semis in 10.95.
